This project is the multi-phase reconstruction of the 1,400 student Booker High School Campus. Improvements include the re-routing of Orange Avenue, the renovation and remodeling of several existing buildings and the construction of a four new buildings, totaling over 100,000 s.f..
Additional site improvements include new student and staff parking areas and reconstructed athletic fields.
As a new design type that encourages a more collaborative and immersive learning experience, these new science labs are located around a centralized prep lab used also for instruction. In addition, a shared use lecture room is outfitted with wall mounted touch screen monitors for group instruction and interactive learning. All rooms are provided with mobile furniture, quick connect manifolds for air/gas connects so that each room is easily transformed for multiple uses, group study and individual testing.
